Ok, listen. We will tell you a secret. We are really good at a lot of things, but there’s also sooo much we don’t know about your business. And how could we? We haven’t worked there for years, we haven’t been to the holiday parties, we haven’t walked a mile in your shoes. But you know who has? You, that’s who.
And so we discovered this secret trick. We call it collaboration. And it goes a little something like this: we know our stuff, you know your stuff, put it together and that’s a whole lot of stuff we know. But there are no short cuts. To pass all that knowledge along we need to talk. And talk. And talk and talk and talk. We need to be in the same space, we need to eat together and laugh together and argue. We need to share stupid ideas before we get to the good ideas. And that’s just what we do.
No pitching. Period.
We don’t pitch. Ever. We very strongly believe that a pitch is a terrible way to start a working relationship. Our relationships are built on super close collaboration. It’s work done in isolation, usually by a team that won’t end up working the client anyway, and the end result is at best a beautiful shot in the dark.
Our collaboration starts with the proposal. We work with our clients to understand their needs, figure out their budget, create the right team and set the project up for success. There is a lot of back and forth involved and together we create the proposal that makes sense.
A cross-functional team
You may have noticed that our work is different. That’s because the way we are building our execution firm is different. We’ve got all sorts of creative specialists in-house. This means we can dream bigger or broader or weirder. It gives us room to experiment as we’re figuring out what’s right for you. Our imagination isn’t limited by a freelancer who may or may not be available. That’s not the way to make the really great work, and we want to work with you to make the really cool stuff.
And so, we have video creators involved in the design phase, we have strategists hobnobbing with illustrators, we have developers making content suggestions. In short, we try and create a melting pot, throw in different kinds of people and together they make the mystery diner that is Convao.
